The last couple of Fridays, I've entered a pokerstars freeroll. Its a winner take all event. Winner gets 2 Grey Cup tickets, accommodations, and airfare to Edmonton. Usually there is between 2-3000 people entered. Tonight there was 3000. The tournament started at 7pm and 3.5 hours later I finished in 24th. Ugh. That was long. And even though I came close in the end, it was not as disappointing as other tournaments i've come close in. I guess because it was a very up and down evening with some great calls, good luck, and bad beats. I could have easily been out earlier, but managed to hold on at times and grind my way back into contention quite a few times. I'll have to remember to do that in the future instead of throwing in the towel too early.
